Along with her colleague Sezi Seskir, Qing curates and performs on a series of concerts at Bucknell University celebrating the return of live music, and the sonic stories of black composers and others. The last concert of the series will feature all Black composers who were/are pioneers of their time, and the piano students from the Bucknell Music Department. We will hear William Grant Still's most important piano cycle Seven Traceries, selections from Harry Burleigh's From the Southland, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Forest Scene, Florence Price and George Walker's early piano works, and a contemporary improvisation by living composer T. J. Anderson.
